Heidi Lesur is a watercolor illustrator, wife, and mother of three darling children, in Dallas, Texas. 

  She got her start in Idaho, where she became involved with Treasure Valley Artists' Alliance and began showing her work at art shows and selling original artwork at various cafes in downtown Boise. She began teaching painting classes, in 2014, at various nursing homes around the Treasure Valley. The job was extremely challenging, as her students were all elderly and suffering from Alzheimer's and Dementia. Each lesson required a great deal of thoughtful planning, understanding, and unwavering patience. Ultimately, the person who learned the very most turned out to be, Heidi herself. That chapter of her life changed her and set fire to her artistic spirit. It pushed her to dig in and take her own art more seriously, taking more risks and developing her own uniquely whimsical style. 

  Heidi frequently does commissioned work and sells her fine art prints at local artisan markets and trade shows in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. 

  As a busy mom with an ever-growing family, her heart is with the children and she is passionate about creating artistic scenes that ignite curiosity and encourage a feeling of connection with nature and with each other. Heidi is seeking work in Childrens' book illustration.
